Krychowiak: One Step from the Top
My Role: Music Supervision, Track Selection & Music Licensing – Feature Documentary & Trailer
Krychowiak: Krok od Szczytu (One Step from the Top) is a four-part SkyShowtime Original documentary series directed by Jan Dybus and produced by Papaya Films.
Following Polish footballer Grzegorz Krychowiak and his wife, Celia Jaunat-Krychowiak, the series offers a personal and often humorous look beyond the football pitch. From defining moments in his sporting career to new ambitions and unexpected challenges, the documentary explores identity, reinvention and the pursuit of dreams beyond professional success.
For this project, I worked on the musical side of the production, helping shape a sonic identity that could support the documentary’s storytelling, personality and emotional range. The creative approach was to make music feel like an integral part of the narrative — moving naturally between humour, energy, intimacy and reflection.
The project was also an opportunity to explore the relationship between music, storytelling and brand identity, a subject I discuss in my article for MMP Online.
