NOSTALG1A, MRSL, and Chris Sulenta in a collaborative track. Listen to the single „Static”
„Static” is a song about that moment in a relationship when, despite being close, the only thing we hear is silence or noise. It is the result of a natural meeting between three friends from the industry: singer NOSTALG1A, producer MRSL, and music supervisor Chris Sulenta.
What is „Static” about?
The track was born from a need to speak about difficult communication: words that bounce off walls and the feeling of being a stranger next to someone close. Musically, we leaned toward a warm, somewhat dreamlike blend of soul and dream pop. There are no unnecessary fireworks or overblown production; instead, there is plenty of space and emotion.
Who is behind it?
NOSTALG1A (Kinga Sławińska) took the microphone. Kinga has the kind of voice that can give you chills: delicate, yet full of longing. She gave the whole piece its melancholy vibe, perfectly fitting into the bittersweet sounds and harmonies present in the production.
The sound is the work of MRSL (Agata Solecka-Zimmer). Agata produces daily for many female artists (such as agataishername or anto9), and her commercial work has already been recognized at competitions like KTR and Kreatura. „Static” surprises with a more organic sound (live drums, bass), signaling new musical directions for her producer album coming this fall.
The project was brought together by Chris Sulenta. Chris has been in the music industry for 18 years as a supervisor and creative, picking up major global awards such as Clio Music and Music+Sound Awards along the way. This time, however, he stepped in as a creator: he wrote the music and lyrics and ensured this musical vision became a reality.
